With all of the 5-star reviews, I truly wish we had the same experience. Unfortunately, we did not.This was a small flooring repair to reduce gaps in two areas of our home. The initial consultation went well, but communication, oversight, and execution quickly declined.Scheduling the job took longer than expected. When I followed up, I was told that ICE activity had reduced their workforce, which I understood and was willing to be patient about.On the day of the repair, no project manager or Josh ever came to the home to explain how the work would be done, oversee the job, check the results, or address concerns. When the crew arrived, the method used was different from what we believed had been discussed, resulting in new gaps being created, damage to the quarter round, nails that were removed from the quarter round and glue residue left behind. The crew left without reviewing the work or speaking to us.We were told the damaged areas would be fixed and were given a return window the next morning. No one showed up. After repeated calls, communication became inconsistent. I was later told this was because the project manager, Philip, had just moved into a new home and was unavailable.That evening, I received a call after 7pm explaining the delay was due to the team being at the company Christmas party, and once again I was promised someone would arrive the next morning. The worker arrived late, refused to fix 3. gaps near the quarter round (including one they created), repaired only part of the damaged quarter round, and did not clean up before leaving again without notice.When I followed up, I was told the company “shouldn’t have agreed to the job” and that they were not coming back. While a refund was offered, the project was never properly completed.Due to the lack of project management, missed appointments, inconsistent explanations, damage, and poor follow-through, this was a very frustrating experience. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company.Reply to their response :Thank you for responding. However, several important points in your reply are not accurate.This was a small, clearly defined repair for two areas (hallway and office). No one from your company ever came to the home to explain the method, oversee the work, or review the results. There was no on-site project management at any point.The crew created new gaps, damaged the quarter round, and left glue residue. They also left without reviewing the work or speaking to us both times. The return visits were not courtesy visits — they were to fix damage and incomplete work from the initial visit.We were given multiple return windows that were not honored, and communication stopped for extended periods. We were told this was due to ICE-related staffing issues, Philip moving, and later the company Christmas party.The work did not stop because the issues were “widespread.” It stopped because your team said they “shouldn’t have agreed to the job” and chose not to complete what had been promised. The refund occurred after the project was abandoned, not because it was properly resolved.We simply wanted the agreed-upon repairs completed and the damage corrected. Unfortunately, that never happened.

After evaluating the floor, we recommended a full replacement, as the underlying issues made long-term repairs difficult. Due to budget concerns, you asked us to proceed with limited repairs instead, and we agreed to address specific areas only.We completed the agreed-upon areas and, as a courtesy, returned multiple additional times to address concerns in other parts of the home beyond the original scope of work. After several follow-up visits, it became clear that the existing installation issues were widespread and could not be fully resolved through partial repairs.At that point, we made the professional decision to stop further work and advised that another flooring company be consulted for additional assistance. Although work had already been performed, we refunded the $300 that had been paid and waived the remaining balance, as we did not feel it was appropriate to collect further payment under the circumstances.We regret the frustration this situation caused and always aim to be fair and transparent with our customers. We wish you the best in finding a solution for your flooring needs.
Super happy with our experience using Gil Flooring. They were incredibly responsive and finished our project fast, but not rushed. Everything turned out great. We would absolutely use them again in the future. Highly recommend!
I can’t say enough in favor of Gil Flooring. From the day we met Aaron, our salesperson, all the way through the install, they were excellent! Aaron is very knowledgeable in flooring and helped us to pick the right floors for our needs. He stated in contact with us throughout the process. The installation crew, lead by Gabriel was unbelievable! They worked 9+ hours on 2 different days to get the work done. They wound up having to get more flooring and came back on a Friday night and finished the job. In addition to working hard, they cleaned up daily.We also had carpet installed on some steps. The installer came on time and was done within a couple of hours.Pricing was highly competitive.Needless to say… if we buy floors again, Gil Flooring will get the call!

We love our new flooring. The sales staff, Beth and Joshua, and the 2 installers were very professional, efficient, and friendly. We have nothing but praise for each one of them. The installers worked very hard as we had tile and cement underlayment that had to be removed, uneven floors in our older home, and it was an overall big job. I rarely post reviews, but felt compelled to share my experience with Fran, Gil, and the entire Gil Flooring Solution team! I had a very large and long overdue flooring project that I wanted to complete at my home. I wanted to remove all of my original and existing flooring (ceramic tile & carpet) from my home (built in 2001) and refinish the three areas in my house that have existing hardwood. I complete an exhaustive online and in-person search for a flooring business, narrowed my choices down to a few companies, and then highly scrutinized each one. I was looking for quality craftsmanship, reliability, and reasonable pricing. I spoke and met with Fran multiple times during this process, as well as other companies, but Fran at Gil Flooring quickly took the lead in comparison to the other flooring companies.During one of my visits to Gil Flooring, I happened to meet Gil himself and based on our conversation, everything Fran shared with me about this company made me realize my search was over! I hired Gil Flooring to complete my project and I could not be more thrilled with the entire experience and my house looks beautiful!Due to the size and scope of this project, I boarded my two cats because I knew they would be traumatized from all the noise. Gil estimated the project may take up to two weeks. I made Fran and Gil that I was concerned about the timeframe, due to my pets, but would not rush them. Gil and his team completed my entire project in five days and the quality of the work is outstanding!!Everyone on Gil's team were polite, professional, and outstanding craftsmen! I want to call out a few team leaders individually. The leader demo and installer, Renzo and his team are some of the hardest working, skilled craftsmen I have ever witnessed! I never saw then break for lunch or even take a break while working at my house! It was crazy (in a good way)! Mariela and her cleaning crew were the best I have ever seen! Due to all the dust from the installation, install, sanding of existing hardwoods, including handrails around my stairs, the house needed a deep cleaning! Mariela and her team spent nine straight hours cleaning and my house as never been so clean! In fact, I would like to hire her and her team to continue cleaning my home!In closing, if you are considering a floor project in the future, I think Gil Flooring is the best company in the entire Charlotte (and surrounding area). Their quality of work, knowledge of flooring, dependability, and communication are amongst the best I have ever experienced! What a great experience! We love our new floors! We had LVP put down. From walking in, the staff couldn’t be more helpful. We took large samples home to see what it looked like with the light in our hone. Next came the measurements and quote that were all within our budget. The installers were extremely polite and professional. They moved our furniture and replaced it. We were told any problems they would take care of, no runaround between installers and manufacturers like the big box stores. Thank you for such a great experience!

Hands down smoothest floor install I have experienced. We had LVP installed throughout our downstairs and our stairway. The most beautiful floors I have ever seen. But what impressed me the most was the service. From the sale to install it was all top notch customer service. The gentlemen that actually installed the floor were kind and courteous. It is not often you actually see someone enjoy what they do and it was clear they took pride in their job. Thank you GIL Flooring for making me love my house again.

We replaced our upstairs carpet with LVP. Aaron and his team were wonderful to work with. We visited their showroom to pick out samples that closely matched our first floor. When those samples didn’t match as close as I was hoping, Aaron even came out to us to bring more samples and take the others. They were also flexible — before we started our floor project, we had other contractors working in our bathroom and they cracked the tile floor. We weren’t planning to replace our bathroom tile, but Aaron quickly provided an updated estimate to include our bathrooms and seamlessly updated our bathroom flooring without needing to adjust the project timeline. They were always on time, Aaron was great with communicating updates to us, and checking in to make sure we loved our floors. The floors look AMAZING. I would 100% recommend them for any flooring needs.

Gil flooring solutions have been phenomenal with our flooring project. They installed hardwood floors for our staircase and walkways. We already had hardwood installed in part of our house. They went above and beyond by first installing unpolished high quality hardwood and then staining it to match the color of our pre-installed hardwood.Aaron was great working with us every step of the way, the project went smooth, on-time and on-budget. Their prices are very reasonable, the company is honest and crew is extremely disciplined and knowledgeable.I would definitely use them again for my flooring needs, and would definitely recommend them.

I hired Gil Flooring to replace some old carpet in my home office this past summer, but am just getting around to writing this review.I went to their showroom and spoke to the owner. Everyone at Gil is awesome. I highly recommend Gil flooring solutions. Gil the owner very knowledgeable. Philip the project manager is very helpful and showed up daily to make sure project is running smoothly and on time. They worked on replacing our entire lower level floors. We opted for Revwood. Removed existing hardwood and carpet floors. Gabriel, Alex and crew are so professional and did amazing work. They paid attention to smaller details while installing the new floors and did not cut corners at all. I am very very happy and highly recommend them. Several weeks ago I began looking at Laminate flooring to replace our vinyl in kitchen and dining. After shopping and comparing we chose Gil Flooring for the job. Their showroom was beautiful and staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me select options to choose from. Once we chose an option in Pergo it was ordered and an install date was set. They arrived the morning of and went to work immediately. These guys knew their craft and finished installation and cleanup in less than a day, kitchen, dining and foyer.
